Dr. Sophie Godbout-Beaulieu
Dr. Sophie Godbout-Beaulieu is a clinical psychologist working primarily with children, adolescents, their parents and young adults. In her practice, she aims to translate scientific knowledge into simple and effective strategies and to help her clients practice them in times of need.
Dr. Sophie values compassion and collaboration with her clients first and foremost. Her clients often share her authenticity, her gentleness and her down-to-earth approach. It offers therapy, assessment, and consultation services. Her particular areas of interest include anxiety, managing emotions and behaviors, assessing challenges related to academic functioning (e.g., attention, learning), and presenting workshops to members of her community.
She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology (PhD) at the University of Ottawa in 2015. She has worked and completed internships in a variety of settings, such as the IWK, the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, and various private practice settings. She is actively pursuing professional training opportunities in order to keep up to date in order to better be able to help you.
Her childhood dream was to become a clown... This dream has changed over time, but she has retained the dream of connecting with people and the desire to contribute to the happiness of the people around her.
Dr. Marielle Purdy
Dr. Marielle Purdy is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. She works with children, adolescents and their families and is distinguished by her warm and accessible approach. Based on rigorous scientific knowledge, she offers individualized and effective support.
In her daily practice, Dr. Marielle values empathy, collaboration and sometimes even humor, allowing young people and parents to feel comfortable and understood, while being supported. She offers assessments, therapy and consultation services. Her clinical interests focus more particularly on challenges related to school development and functioning (attention, learning, motor coordination, etc.), anxiety and emotional management.
She completed her Bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Moncton and her doctorate in clinical psychology (PhD & PsyD) at the Université du Quebec à Montreal. She also obtained the certificate for the evaluation of neuropsychological disorders from the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, granting her the title of neuropsychologist. She has had the opportunity to work in several different settings, such as the Montreal Children's Hospital, in an outpatient child psychiatry clinic, as well as several private practice settings. She continues to strengthen her knowledge and to keep up to date through professional training. These rich and diverse experiences allow her to support everyone's personal journey.
